I run businesses with a deep social mission and a focus on people, purpose and passion!
I'm a former law professional turned social entrepreneur who owns and runs the venture-backed commercial cleaning company, CleanTex (link above), and the best-in-class residential cleaning, organizing and interior design company, This Is Home (link below). We put people first, emphasize work ethic and teamwork and deliver quality services every time as a result.
Originally born in Honduras, I now reside primarily in Houston, Texas along with my partner Luke (a former Wall Street investment banker) and our 15 year-old hurricane rescue dog, Franky. We love to travel, are passionate about the arts, social entrepreneurship and we are devoted animal welfare advocates. My businesses even donate a percentage of all profits to local non-profits that align with our values and passions. We love supporting local artists and most of our personal art comes from Houston creators - mostly women artists. We also enjoy buying antiques and regularly help clients find unique statement pieces for their homes and offices.
I am so grateful to have built two thriving socially-conscious businesses here in Houston. A venture-backed commercial cleaning company, CleanTex, which utilizes AI and great teamwork to provide a perfect clean to our clients - every single time! As well as a residential cleaning, organizing and interior design company, This Is Home, which creates spotless and inspiring homes and builds long-lasting relationships with a foundation of trust with clients all across the greater Houston area. Alejandra's 3x's Great Grandfather, Karl Whilhelm Hartling, was born in the city of Schlotheim, in Germany on September 2, 1869. He studied at the Weimar and Leipzig conservatories - as well as the Munich Music Academy. In 1896 he was commissioned for work in Honduras by President Policarpo Bonilla and in 1904 he was tasked with writing the Honduran National Anthem. He would eventually marry a Honduran woman named Guadalupe Guardiola (Granddaughter of former Honduran President Jose Santos Guardiola). The couple had two children: Enriqueta and Alicia Hartling. Out of respect for his new country, Hartling even changed his name from Karl to Carlos. He is still honored and respected to this day by the country of Honduras, where his anthem is still performed at every city, national and athletic event across the country.
Alejandra's 5X's Great Grandfather is José Santos Guardiola, a two-term President of Honduras. He married Ana de Arzibu and one of their many daughters, Genoveva Guardiola Arbizú, married the first President of the Republic of Cuba, Tomás Estrada Palma. President Guardiola was responsible for granting freedom of the press, women's suffrage and many other individual freedoms in Honduras.
President Guardiola's granddaughter Guadalupe (Alejandra's 3X's Great Grandmother) would go on to marry German composer Karl "Carlos" Whilhelm Hartling. Guadalupe was also a successful composer and musician. She served as the Director of the Conservatorio Mariana Ugarte. Later she directed a school of piano in San Pedro Sula. She collaborated frequently with her husband, (the composer of the Honduran National Anthem). The couple would jointly compose several piano works, as well as polkas and marches.
I love my clients, so feel free to contact me anytime for a commercial or residential quote or to discuss opportunities to collaborate.
